This is the first game I've ever played that made me wanna
break my $250 treasure. But if I did, I would go buy another one and keep
playing. Smart Bomb for the Sony PSP is an addictive but
quite frustrating game filled with many different kinds of puzzles to try
and simulate diffusing a bomb. From turning mirrors to bounce lasers, to
rolling marbles into safe zones, completing simple machines, and revolving
circuit bus lines and more. The game play is in fact fun, but if you mess
up, you're going back to the beginning of the level. Each level consists of
about eight mini-games with short videos in-between each level telling the
story and who?s planting all of these bomb.
Gameplay can be
glitchy at times, and since every game is timed, you might get blessed with
a dud and the count resets and you can keep going, but don?t count on it,
you have generally thirty seconds to solve a puzzle, occasionally you can
pick up bonus time.? However that was not made very easy, and in the last
ten seconds your screen start shaking violently to where it's near
impossible to see and complete the puzzle. The buzzer blasting in your ear
tells you you're screwed.
Overall, Smart Bomb
should not be played when near other people or personal belongings you like
because you may tend to break them.? I recommend wearing your wrist strap
when playing, not because you might drop it, because you might want to try
and throw your PSP.? I would suggest a hand towel too, because when you do
the same level 6-10 times, you'll be sweating from every pore telling
yourself, "I'm not gonna screw up this time". Though a real bomb technician
goes through a completely different feeling when dismantling a bomb, you
both get the exact same results, your covered in sweat, and just relieved
that it's over.
